On the evening of April 23, 2025, the Leo A. Deegan Inn of Court (“Deegan Inn”) hosted past, present, and prospective members of the Deegan Inn. Hon. Joshlyn Pulliam (“Josh”) opened the evening with a reminder that nominations are open for The Leo A. Deegan Award for Outstanding Jurist and The Terry D. Bridges Award for Outstanding Attorney. In addition, an attorney position on the Board of Directors for the Deegan Inn is open so members are welcome to nominate themselves.

Justice Richard T. Fields, Associate Justice of the California Court of Appeals, Fourth Appellate District, Division Two presented a 30-minute MCLE on “Civility and the Law.”

Justice Carol Codrington, Associate Justice of the California Court of Appeals, Fourth Appellate District, Division Two, spoke about her journey as an attorney to Associate Justice.

After a brief recess, Hon. Sharon Waters (Ret.) and Emeritus Member Peter Mort spoke about the Deegan Inn. Judge Waters was one of the founding members of the Deegan Inn and Mr. Mort was one of the first members of the Deegan Inn.
